Why drain water reuse remains sensitive

When drain water is reused, water, nutrients, organic matter and microorganisms remain present in the system for longer periods of time.

This makes the water system more efficient, but also more sensitive to microbiological build-up, contamination, fluctuating analyses and recurring corrective treatment.

When the load increases or certain zones in the system have less effective flow, water quality can become less predictable. Especially in recirculating systems, control over the complete water circuit is therefore important.
